COBÁ
Cobá is located 30 or 40 minutes towards the northeast
of Tulum and cannot be missed if you are interested in
discovering Mayan archaeology and ruins.
The archaeological ruins can be found
between the thick jungle and two marvelous lakes, where
one of the principal attractions is the Nohoch Mul
pyramid, measuring 42 metres in height and considered to
be the tallest monument constructed by the Maya. It is a
very long tour so it is best to wear tennis shoes or
comfortable walking shoes. If you are not a good walker
we suggest you rent a bicycle or bici-taxi.
On the way to Cobá there are several Mayan villages
where you can buy craftwork, take horseback riding tours
or visit some sink holes. This wonderful Mayan location
has an ever increasing number of adventure tourism
attractions and sink holes, so don't miss it!
